Removing financial barriers and expanding opportunity for student athletes—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond high school.
The Next Wave Scholarship Fund exists to remove financial barriers to participation in athletics by providing need and merit-based scholarships that support student-athletes in pursuing academic success, athletic development, and personal growth beyond High School.
Immediate Goals
Education
We will provide educational opportunities for athletes after they graduate from High School, whether they choose college or vocational training.
Service
We will incorporate required community service throughout the student’s time in Gulf Breeze to earn eligibility.
Scholarships
We will designate 3% of all donations to The Breeze Athletic Trust for the Next Wave Scholarship Fund.

Next Wave scholarships are designed to support student athletes who demonstrate commitment—academically, athletically, and through service—while helping reduce financial burdens and expanding access to opportunity.
What Scholarships Can Support
Depending on scholarship structure and eligibility criteria, Next Wave support may include:
Post-graduation education pathways (college or vocational training)
Program-related costs and barriers that impact participation
Recognition of service-driven student athletes who represent Gulf Breeze well
How eligibility can work:
Student athlete participates in Gulf Breeze athletics
Maintains academic progress and good standing
Completes required community service over time
Meets need and/or merit criteria as defined by the Trust
Funding model:
A core commitment of the Trust is that 3% of all donations support the Next Wave Scholarship Fund—creating steady, long-term scholarship growth as the Trust expands.
